What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is the science of energy balancing. The underlying premise of Kinesiology is that the body has innate healing energy and is doing its best to care for itself, but sometimes needs assistance to achieve this state. Kinesiologists tap into your dog or cat’s energy (known as Chi/Qi in Chinese medicine) using muscle monitoring to identify imbalances in the body’s structural, chemical, or emotional energy to determine the body’s priority healing needs.
How does it work?
When blockages or stresses are preventing the smooth, energetic transmission within the body, this affectsthe smooth functioning of our pets’ bio-systems, whether that is under-energies or over-energies. After identifying the cause, the blockages are cleared using a gentle, non-evasive, hands-on approach, allowing your pet to return to good health and functional behaviours.
Kinesiology may help pets with:
- Irritability (which often shows as allergies)
- Re-homed animals
How will my pet respond?
Each session lasts about 30 minutes and is a gentle, non-evasive approach, and pets love it! You can see the effects immediately.
Every animal is unique; your pet will be assessed for the most suitable treatment and referred to the appropriate practitioner.
“Hughey was adopted at 13 months. Previously, he was moved around a lot and was an anxious pup that took on the role of ‘Head of Security’ within the home and became overly excited and troubled outside of the house. We tried ‘training’ of various forms, which helped but didn’t solve the troubling behaviours. One session with Penny Fitzgerald, and she was able to identify his feeling of abandonment and fear of being passed on again. Through kinesiology, he was able to let go of these fears. He is a different dog; our forever boy has renewed calmness and is now ready for more training.”
